Come to the meeting to see get fliers for each of these walks. When you do a walk, remember to say "Heidelberg International Wandering Club" when you register! That's how we get those wonderful group prizes. Come to the meeting and win one as a door prize. Also, check Thursday's Stars and Stripes for additional information regarding prizes and start halls.

Come on out and join the Heidelberg International Wandering Club at the following IVV Volksmarch events – don’t forget to look for the Club Flag.  Sign your name in the book and be eligible to win door prizes at the Monthly meetings (Members only).

KL             Kaiserslautern

nur AW     Starts late, √ Stripes Travel or Club Flyer for start time.

+AW         Evening walk in addition to the day walk. Only 10 km.

K               Gentle walk, 10 km good for strollers (according to sponsoring club)

km             Kilometers

M              Marathon (usually 42 km). Register at least two weeks before.

S               Series award

R/W          Both bike and walking events are offered.

S/W          Both swimming and walking events are offered.

For Your Information:

Start Cards  First decide if you want the prize offered (if any.)   Purchase your start card with Medallion (the prize offered) and a stamp in your kilometer and events booklets OR for the stamp only (no prize).  The Start Cards also provide for accident insurance on the trail,  buy one  before you start.  You are required to print your name and German address on each card.  Make  labels on your computer and keep them with your Volksmarching books.

Before you leave the house be sure you have:

                                full tank of gas

Registration Notes

If you have a nach medaille (back-ordered award) coming from a walk, remember to look for a sign at local Volksmarches saying that the awards are in. If you see a sign saying Nach Medailles from _____, ask the person for your award. If you haven't seen the club at a Volksmarch and it's been two months or so since the walk, check with the registration director. Tell them when and where the walk took place, and having a werber (flyer) would be helpful.
